Maye is poised to have a standout season for the Tar Heels. He finished the 2022 season as one of the best quarterbacks in the country, and this year he could be a serious candidate for the Heisman trophy. Not only that, but some are projecting that he could be the #1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, which would be the second time in less than 10 years that a Tar Heel was a top five overall pick. It’s crazy to think about, but would we expect anything less from a member of the Maye family?
